As a student of history, I am on medium alert to absorb anything historically interesting. It was the other day while on a mind break, i recalled that there was a time in the mid- 1800's that many young students in Canada were dealing daily with the 4 D's - discipline, deportment, decorum, and demeanor. How would that be handled in today's classroom? That thought segued to Sun Tzu, the Chinese military general who was a formidable and powerful war leader, credited for authoring, "The Art of War". On many levels, he dealt with the 4 "D's" in 6th century BC.
A Sun Tzu "Art of Assertive Creative Living", anyone?
